First Sunday Atendees
October 3, 2004

The first Sunday attendees on October 3, 2004. First Congregational Church began as a vision in the heart of Dr. Les & Phyllis Wicker. Having previously served another fellowship in Naples, the couple returned to Naples from Wisconsin to plant what has become a thriving, serving, God honoring, positive church with a positive message that is reaching the community and world for Christ!

Growth

Continuing to meet in a local school, the church gathered members and friends. By 2009 the congregation was blessed wiht the resources needed to purchase land in North Naples on Imokalee Road. We broke ground and bagan to build a beautiful Meeting House. In time, the fellowship built an office and classroom wing and later our fellowship hall, Zilinskis Hall.

The Church has been and continues to be ative in local outreach and foreign mission. First Congregational Church was founded on authentic relationships and cultivated Christian community. This is a place for children, families, singles, seniors from every walk of life and diverse backgrounds. We affirm the Bible and emphasize lived faith in Christ in the real world. Jesus makes a difference in our lives now and eternally! He brings us together as He said in Matthew 18:20, "For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I among them.” (ESV)

In 2020 Pastor Les Wicker retired and, after a congregational search, they called Pastor Chris Surber as only the second Senior Minister in our history. We are Modern Day Pilgrims, following Jesus into the future. Join us on on the Chrisitan journey! God bless you!
